Townies: All townies must have a visible means of support - either a business or a job. Businesses need to be opened in a post at least once a week. Employees need to regularly show up for their shifts.

Students: Students are required to enroll in and regularly attend 2 classes during normal semesters or 2 workshops during summer sessions.

Faculty: Teachers are required to teach at least one class per semester. Classes have to meet once a week. You are expected to post these classes on time every week (by 12pm PST on the day the class is scheduled) or hand it off to your TA in a timely fashion so they can do the same. You are also expected to come up with classes every week and interact with your students when possible. Teaching does take a little bit more effort, but it's loads of fun if you engage with your students.

Alumni: Players cannot apply to play an alumni character. The alumni status comes from playing a student character who has been played out through their graduation. They then leave the island and go about their post-Fandom High lives while still being allowed to keep in contact and return for special occasions and certain plots. Alumni must post in the alumni community or their own journal at least once per month in order to remain active and keep a claim on their character. Alumni who do not meet that standard will be removed from the game and the character will be reopened for applications. More detailed guidelines for alumni can be found in this post.

Characterization: Play the character you applied for. Don't add further mystical powers/amazing gadets afterwards without permission from the admins. Character development is great and can be based in canon or the effect that Fandom High has had on the character, but please use common sense. In short terms? Don't turn your character into a Mary Sue or an Original Character of any kind. You're playing a character from a fandom. Go with that. Develop on it, but don't make them unrecognizable.
