Character Application

Applications are currently open for students, teachers, and townies. Student and teacher applications will be open until Friday, December 21st. Applications for townies are always open.

This form is for all characters, but some parts only apply to certain character types (ie: if you're applying with a student, you don't need to fill in the townie stuff).

Player Info - for ALL character types

If you give us a character email, we'll use it for facilitating player-to-player contact, such as for the Big Sibling program, or for sending out group emails, such as for providing plot information.
All active characters played in the game at this time, if any.
If you have one.
How did you find out about Fandom High? If directed here by another player, please let us know who so we can give them a cookie.

Character Info

The information below should be for the character you are applying to play. Please be thorough to show that you know what you're talking about.
The show/movie/book/comic/play/game/etc that your character is from.
You don't have to have created the journal, just figure out the name you want if you are accepted. The journal cannot be used for anything other than Fandom High.
The class you select here will be the class the student has for Summer and the 2008-2009 academic year.
During Summer, teachers run workshops (similar to classes, only less academic). These must be posted once per week on your assigned day by noon PST. Workshops are intended to be interactive and fun. Please state what you intend to teach in your workshop - ie: show evidence that you know what you're doing and actually have an idea of what you want to teach. See current teachers' journals (available through the LJ community) for examples if needed. Please include a proper workshop name and a couple of individual class ideas. Workshops should be fun. If you know what you'd like to teach during the normal academic year, feel free to mention that too.
Please list your TOP TWO days (Monday-Friday) that you would like your class to be scheduled on. These should be days that you have some availability to check in on the game (even in the evening) and post by 12pm PST (you can always post the night before).
If you are opening a new business or taking over an NPC business, please provide details about the business and what it offers to the community here. If you are looking for employment, please indicate what businesses you will be asking for jobs at here and what skills your character has to offer an employer. You are encouraged to directly contact current players in order to discuss job options, but securing a job does not guarantee that your application will be accepted.

Character Background

We're going to ask you a few questions about your character and their canon. These questions are designed to give us an idea of what you know about your canon and your character, as well as an indication of how the character might work at Fandom High and what plans or ideas you have for them. This information must be written in your own words. Copy/pasting from other sources is not allowed.

This is to show us that you have a strong grasp of your canon. Please do not copy information from Wikipedia. We want a summary of your canon in your own words.
If there are multiple versions of your character/canon (such as with comics/comic movies/etc), please be sure to specify which version.
We need to know that you're willing and able to work through problems related to your character.
Please provide 2-3 links to information about your character and their canon. If you cannot find any links because your fandom is too obscure, please let us know where we can get our hands on your canon.
